I think it has to do with the recent update for. My tv supports airplay 2. I had the same issue with airplay devices not showing up when trying to use airplay after update to ios 18.x Following conversation with apple support i was advised to reset network settings in the settings> general > transfer or reset [device] > reset > reset network settings This also resolved the issue with apple.
