I’ve tried adding mods normally and i got one to work but i can’t get any others
I know curseforge is easier but i don’t wanna restart my world i already started. In the end i learned if you're using curseforge for modded, try to repair installation which is located in the three little dots on the top right corner of your my modpacks menu. On curseforge, click on the modpack to open the page where it lists all of the mods Up in the top right, there should be a button to open the folder that contains all the folders for that minecraft instance
Open that and look for a mods folder Download the appropriate optifine version for your game and drop it into the mods folder Truefor those not using the curseforge launcher, look for the forge installer, click on the three lines at the top left corner and find your game version then download the installer After the installer has been downloaded, open it with java then extract/install client then whichever one made the folder that says the version needed should be dragged into versions>folder.
I also came across this problem, specifically for the mod pack “better mc”
It’s weird because it didn’t work for a while, then randomly allowed me to play one time but is back to exit code 1… For example betterbuildbuy and tool were both outdated on curseforge for weeks after horse ranch (they might still be outdated and broken, i haven’t checked recently) but updated on twistedmexi’s site curseforge also lists your tray files so everything you have saved to your in game library clutters your mod list within the curseforge list.
