The Ultimate Guide To TTL Models: Everything You Need To Know
Thanks sunny wednesday, february 29, 2012 7:05 am I have followed ms articles for setting this up, and do not have a gpo configured The default ttl for all forward zones is 24hours (1 day)
How can i change the default ttl to 2 hours
I have tried to reduce the ttl for individual forward zones to 2 hours through soa tab, both minimum (default ttl and ttl for this record, but getting reset to default overnight. The period of time the dns server will keep information in its cache is determined by the time to live (ttl) value for a resource record Until the ttl period expires, information in the cache might be overwritten if updated information about that resource record is received. Icmp_seq=85 ttl=125 time=281 ms (dup!) but from windows i am not getting same response, it normal in windows
Does anyone have faced this kind of issue What could be the solution for this? It works now with my configuration, i had to edit the ttl for the cname record After setting it to 1 minute my tests ran successfully means after shutting down pslocal to simulate a server outtage and changing the cname record pointing to pscentral the client's printer connection is available within a minute.
We started having an issue recently were users active directory mapped home folders would start to path to their local drive unless the mapping was changed to be the file servers fqdn, this does not happen with other mappings to the file server.
When you enable cache locking, the dns server will not allow cached records to be overwritten for the duration of the time to live (ttl) value Cache locking provides for enhanced security against cache poisoning attacks You can also customize the settings used for cache locking Cache locking is configured as a percent value.
So, when pretty much all the exchange services are stopped, the probes are staying active Is this expected from managed availability I would of thought the services stopping would switch the probes to inactive thus turning the f5 to redirect the connections to a healthy server Thanks, r182 thursday, june 7, 2018 12:32 pm
I've tried reimaging a few of that model machines (dell t1600) and still get the same
The program installs on other models fine and on these models if i copy the manual install files and installing it manually the program does install its just not installing from sccm. Basically i cannot get domain time sync set up correctly, (i.e., workstations are not syncing with the pdc emulator)
